The Constitutional Court of the Islamic Community is the supreme organ for the assessment of constitutionality of acts and activity of institutions and organs of the Islamic Community. Members of the Constitutional Court are appointed from among outstanding experts in religious and socio-legal studies who have a good reputation in the Islamic Community. Their term of office is six years, and during this time they may not be members of representative bodies or executive organs of the Islamic Community.

The Constitutional Court of the Islamic Community assesses the constitutionality of general and individual legal and other acts of organs and institutions at all levels of the Islamic Community organization; it makes decisions which establish violations of constitutionality and orders their corrections; resolves conflicts of competence in the work of organs and institutions of the Islamic Community.

Decisions of the Constitutional Court of the Islamic Community are binding for all the organs and institutions of the Islamic Community. Their implementation is the responsibility of the Riyasat.

The work of the Constitutional Court is managed by the President, who is elected by members of the Constitutional Court of the Islamic Community at the first session, which is called by the President of the Council of the Islamic Community.
