OSMAN LAVIĆ, MA

Born in Trnovo in 1960. He completed Gazi Husrev-beg Madrasa and the Faculty of Islamic Sciences in Sarajevo. He was granted his master's degree for the topic “Libraries in Bosnia in the period of Ottoman rule” in 2013. He worked as a librarian in the Gazi Husrev-beg Library from 1982 to 2016 and has been the director of the Gazi Husrev-beg Library since 2016.

He has published a great number of academic and professional papers in several journals. He is the author and a co-author of many books, and has made a significant contribution to the cataloguing of manuscripts in the Gazi Husrev-beg Library.
