EKREM TUCAKOVIĆ, PhD

Born in Stolac in 1971. Completed Gazi-Husrev-beg Madrasa, and then Persian language and literature studies in Tehran. He completed his postgraduate studies in literary history at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Sarajevo, and gained his PhD degree with the topic “Public relations aimed at achieving the goals of the Islamic community” from the University of Novi Pazar in 2015. 

He was the acting editor of the web portal of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community, head of the Public Relations Office of the Riyasat, and the editor-in-chief of the Islamic newsletter Preporod. At present, he is the head of the Department of Higher Education, Science and Culture of the Administration for Education and Culture of the Riyasat. He has authored a great number of professional papers and texts in the area of communication studies, public relations, culture and education and Persian literature. He has also been the editor and text editor of several books. In 2003 he was awarded the annual Best Translator Award by the Business Association of Publishers and Bookstores of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for his translation from Persian of the book Golšan-e rāz, which was published under the title Sufijski ružičnjak.
