AMINA RIZVANBEGOVIĆ DŽUVIĆ, MA

Born in Sarajevo in 1969. She completed her studies at the Department of Oriental Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Sarajevo, majoring in Arabic and Persian language and literature. She also completed undergraduate studies at the Department of Middle East and Islamic Studies at the University of Toronto (Canada) where she was granted a bachelor’s degree in Humanities and a master’s degree in Humanities, in 1999.                                       

From 2008 to 2020 she was the director of the Bosniak Institute, the Adil Zulfikarpašić Foundation in Sarajevo, and presently holds the position of project manager at the same institute. She was in charge of the collection of Oriental-Islamic manuscripts and projects related to this collection (digitalization, processing and cataloguing, conservation and restoration, exhibitions, promotional films, etc.), coordinated and edited publications of the Bosniak Institute, participated in activities promoting BiH cultural heritage, culture and art and establishing professional cooperation aimed at intercultural and inter-professional dialogue. She has participated in various conferences and seminars and published papers in proceedings and catalogues. She is actively engaged in various nongovernmental organizations.
