Prof. AIDA IDRIZBEGOVIĆ ZGONIĆ, PhD

Born in city of Travnik in 1976. Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Sarajevo in 2000, and received her master's degree from the same faculty in 2003. He completed his doctoral studies in 2009 in Italy (at the Universita degli Studi di Trieste in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture in Venice). She is currently an Associate professor at the Department of Theory and History of Architecture and Protection of Heritage, and also Vice Dean for International Cooperation.

From 2000 to 2005 he worked as an associate of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, Geneva & World Monuments Fund, NY on numerous projects of restoration the historic core of the city of Mostar (residential complexes, shops, religious buildings). From 2009/10 school year she is was employed at the Faculty of Architecture as a senior assistant, and since that period she has been working in the teaching and scientific research field, she has published numerous articles in various publications. She is the the author (part of the author team) of the book Restoration of Mosques in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Held numerous guest lectures (selection) for the Ivo Pilar Institute, Croatia (2007), London School of Economics - Cities program - Sarajevo (2014) University of Stuttgart (2017), KulturGutRetter (KGR) An Emergency Mechanism For Cultural Heritage In Crisis Situations in collaboration with TU Berlin.
