  • THE TWO LINDEN TREES OF CHRONICLER MULA MUSTAFA BAŠESKIJA

    Sarajevo chronicler Mula Mustafa Bašeskija (1731-1809) is one of the best-known Bosnian and Herzegovinian authors of the 18th and early 19th century. His Chronicle, naturally, describes many people. To a large extent, his Chronicle is also a necrology.

  • BREGAVA RIVER WATERWAY

    The Bregava River is a left tributary of the Neretva. It is 31 km long and it flows into the Neretva by the village of Klepci, Municipality of Čapljina. Part of the river's course passes through Stolac, where it branches into arms and forms natural waterfalls.

  • MUSTAFA-PASHA’S MOSQUE (KREČA MOSQUE)

    Kreča is the most distant jamaat in the area of Majlis of the Islamic Community of Goražde. It is about 35 km away from Goražde. In this village, there is the Mustafa-pasha Mosqu, built in 1554, which is one of the oldest mosques in this region and a very valuable religious and cultural building.

    Bosnians used to build light and cheerful houses surrounded by greenery and gardens. Besides the massive stone structure on the ground floor, they are characterized by the combination of wood and adobe in building, and are covered with hipped roof covered with shingles or roof tiles.

    Bosanska Otoka is a small town on the banks of the river Una, nestled between Bosanska Krupa and Bosanski Novi. It used to be the center of municipality (until 1957), and today it is a constituent part of the town of Bosanska Krupa.

  • ĐERZELEZ ALIJA – A HERO OF NATURE

    Years 1888–1889 saw the first edition of the collection of Muslim folk poems from Bosnia nd Herzegovina, which was compiled by the first director of National Museum and editor-in-chief of Glasnik Zemaljskog muzeja Kosta Hörmann (1850–1921).
