The Redžepagić Tower is the oldest tower in Plav. It is believed that it was commissioned by Hasan-bey Redžepagić in 1671, although according to some sourced the tower dates back to the 15th century, when it was commissioned by Ali Muče, a descendant of Ali-bey Redžepagić, for the purpose of defense form Albanian tribes Klimenats and Bunjani.
The tower had a residential and defensive purpose.
Two stories were built of stone, while the third one, a belvedere, was built of wood.
In olden days, on its roof there was a “baba finkaˮ, an addition similar to minaret though of smaller dimensions, which meant that travelers were always welcome to the tower.
