CERTIFICATE OF APPOINTMENT OF ZUKO DŽUMHUR’S FATHER
Confirmation of the appointment of Zuko Džumhur’s father, Haji Hafiz ef. Abduselam Džumhur, into military imam of the army of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in Belgrade - from Zuko Džumhur's Museum in Konjic.

Hafiz Abduselam Džumhur, a son of hafiz Zulfikar, was born from a reputable ulama family form Konjic. After completing hifz and madrasa, he worked as an imam and religious instructor in Konjic, and form 1920 he was the imam of the Bajrakli Mosque in Belgrade.
From 1923 until his death in 1933, Hafiz Abduselam-ef. Džumhur served as the main imam in the Army of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, i.e. as the “senior military imam and administrator for Islamic religion with the Ministry of Army and Navy”. His engagement in the cultural society of Bosniaks “Gajret” was notable, and he is considered the most instrumental in the building of “Gajret” Centre in Belgrade for Bosniak male and female students.
